Many thanks for your letter No. 13772/33 of the 16th.
June enclosing copy of a letter from Dr. McLean,M.P., regarding the
Report of the Government Committee on Practical Education in Hong Kong
While there is something to be said for his views on the training of
machanical engineers I think that there 1 should be a good demand for
electrical engineers.
I will discuss the question with Hornell on his
return and will let you know if we should like to have further expert
advice from home.
